David A. Navidad-Parra

David A. Navidad Parra from Arizona, he was in I-2 Plebe Year, H-4 Yuk/Cow Years, and E-1 Firstie Year. David was a strength and conditioning coach for the basketball team. He served as an Infantry Officer and in his free time enjoyed working out, real estate, and teaching financial literacy. He was pursuing a Masters in Higher Education and Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

He is survived by his wife Diana Ontiveros.

Okheem R. Riley

Born on August 19th, 1996, in Kingston, Jamaica, Okheem “Malik” Romani Riley was the son of Michael Riley and Nadene Riley. He departed this life on Thursday June 4th, 2021. Okheem was affectionately known as “Malik” to his close friends and family. Okheem was educated in Frederick County Public Schools and graduated with honors. He later attended and graduated from The United States Military Academy, West Point.

A true leader, Okheem would be the first of his family to serve in the United States Army after attending West Point. Okheem served as a First Lieutenant at Fort Riley in Manhattan, Kansas.

​

Okheem enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, meeting new friends, traveling, and working out. Combining many of his favorite activities, one of Okheem’s favorite trips was traveling to Spain to watch his favorite soccer team play. Apart from soccer, Okheem was a true team player. No matter where he was stationed, he would always call to bless the family holiday dinners, wish his family “Happy Holidays” and express thoughtful birthday wishes.

He leaves to cherish their memories, his loving mothers, Nadene Riley & Annmarie Murray, his big sisters, Anastasia Oates, Chantell Riley, Chante Oates, his big brothers, Akheem Riley, Michael Oates, Nicholas Oates, Forleke Salmon; grandmother, Rona Piggott. He is also survived by a niece, a nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

Mitchell J. Winey

Cadet Winey completed Cadet Basic Training and was accepted into the Corps of Cadets as a Plebe as a member of the class of 2018. As a Cadet Private in Company I2 (The Moose is Loose) and as a Cadet Corporal in Company B1 (Barbarians), Mitchell excelled under the rigors of the Academy. In each of his four semesters, his performance was recognized on the Dean’s List.

Beyond academics, Mitchell earned the Army Physical Fitness Badge three times while participating in his company’s soccer and ultimate Frisbee teams. He was a proud member of the West Point Ski Patrol, volunteering for extra hours to maximize his time on the slopes and number of runs. He was in charge of the Ski Patrol’s Cadet Ski Instruction and was to be ACIC (Assistant Cadet in Charge) his junior (COW) year. Thanks to Mitch, the West Point collegiate ski team added a competitive freestyle group to their arsenal.
